This week’s photos were taken at the “Food and and Wine Tasting” held by the Red Bank Rotary at Branches in West Long Branch.

West Long Branch – This year over 400 people savored the food and wine from 26 of the areas finest dining establishments along with a variety of beverages.

Restaurants participating in this year’s event were: Yumi Restaurant, Undici Taverna, Tasty Pantry by Elaine, Siena Grille, Sickles Market, Salt Creek Grille, Ross’s Dockside, Rigoletto Trattoria, Raven & the Peach, Osteria Dante, Oyster Point Hotel, Molly Pitcher Inn, Melting Pot, McLoone’s, Lusty Lobster Seafood, Jesse’s Café., Gourmet Picnic, Gaetano’s Restaurant, Elements Steak House, Doris & Ed’s, CJ Montana’s, Carlos O’Connor, Branches, Bistro at Red Bank, Anna’s Italian Kitchen, & All Mixed Up.

Lunch Break’s mission is to assist, in an atmosphere of dignity and concern, those members of the community who for whatever reason find themselves unable to provide adequately for themselves and their families. In the 25 years since Lunch Break was founded as Monmouth County’s first “soup kitchen”, it has become one of Red Bank’s most important social service agencies.

In addition to providing free hot lunches for approximately 2100 people a month, Lunch Break provides more than 40 grocery baskets bi-monthly, clothing to over 800 families annually, emergency supplies for children, and facility space for health services, referrals to other social service agencies, and professional counseling.

For the past seven years the Red Bank Rotary, through the Red Bank Rotary Foundation, has sponsored the Two Rivers Food & Wine Tasting which has enabled it to donate over $115,000 to local charities.

Past recipients of the event’s proceeds have been: the Community UMCA, the VNA of Central Jersey, the Parker Family Health Center, Love INC, Jewish Children & Family Services, Collier Services, Holiday Express and HABcore. LUNCH BREAK will receive the entire net proceeds from the event.
