You decide. Reportedly, he has again, yes again, publicly committed to remain "faithful" to his wife Patti Scialfa, with whom he has three children.
Bruce Springsteen married Scialfa, an E- Street Band member, in 1991. Notably, rumor has it that "The Boss's" first marriage to actress Julianne Phillips ended after three years because of an affair with Scialfa, according to a Star-Ledger staff report.
If alleged affairs are the norm of celebrity lifestyle, Springsteen, a resident of Rumson and Colts Neck, has a handful of such reportedly committed acts, all of which he denies.
Perhaps helpful too, is a disclaimer on his personal Web site: www.brucespringsteen.net, where a statement posted by The Boss on August 28, 2006 reaffirms his loyalty to Scialfa.
Last Thursday, April 9, a Springsteen representative confirmed that the Jersey native and national rock star, stood by the 2006 statement he posted on his Web site when there was another alleged affair involving "The Boss."
The current report filed by the Star Ledger notes that the historic 2006 disclaimer by "The Boss," which has come to be such use in present time, was born out of a 2006 alleged affair Springsteen was reported to have had with a 9/11 widow he met in 2001 at a television benefit show. That could have been the tipping point that might have led "The Boss" and Scialfa to split three years back, but thanks to that public statement, the couple is expected to survive this present marital crisis as well.
The couple is expected to celebrate their 18th anniversary this June, E! Online reports.
