Middletown - Knowshon Moreno, Rb Georgia (5'10 217 lbs), who led Middletown South Eagles football team to three state championships, was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the first round of today's NFL Draft. Moreno was the 12th overall pick in the NFL draft in New York. He holds the record, among others in his young career, for the highest pick among former Middletown football stars. In 1998 Jason Peter, also from Middletown South High School, formerly held the record with his 14th pick in the first round in the NFL draft.
