An Associated Press story reported that a man died in New Jersey yesterday after he fell into vat of melted chocolate.

The incident reportedly occurred yesterday (July 7) at 10:30 a.m. at a South Jersey processing plant.

The report indicates that the 29-year-old temporary worker at Cocoa Services Inc. plant fell after a blade used to mix raw chocolate hit him. The Camden County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the case and mentioned to Associated Press that the man, whose name has not been released, was loading raw chocolate into the vat when the accident occurred. A co-worker tried to shut off the machine and two others tried to pull the man out of the 8-foot deep vat, according to the Prosecutor's Office.
