MIDDLETOWN - The Investors Savings Bank Foundation, which provides charitable funding to nonprofit programs in the neighborhoods the bank serves, has awarded a $10,000 grant to the Community YMCA, among the leading youth and family service agencies in Monmouth County.

The grant will support a wide variety of programs and services offered by the Community YMCA, which serves more than 20,000 members. These include the YCARES program, which provides $1.8 million in annual assistance to more than 3,000 financially disadvantaged youths who would otherwise be unable to participate in YMCA programs. The second largest YMCA in the state of New Jersey, the Community YMCA also provides outpatient counseling, in-home counseling, mentoring, and child visitation programs for approximately 1,600 individuals, families, and groups.

"The Community YMCA is enormously thankful for the friendship and support of the Investors Savings Bank Foundation," said Gary I. Laermer, the organization's president and CEO. "Their generosity will help us pursue a volunteer-driven mission that has endured in Monmouth County for 135 years."

"The Investors Savings Bank Foundation is committed to supporting and enriching the communities we call home," said Kevin Cummings, president and CEO of Investors Savings Bank, who also serves on the Foundation's board of trustees. "We applaud the Community YMCA for its work on behalf of children and families."
