Lincroft - "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day," the hilarious musical that has audiences singing along with Alexander's misadventures, will be staged at Brookdale Community College's Performing Arts Center main theater. April 23 and April 30 show times are 8:00 pm; April 24 and May 1 performances are 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. April 25 and May 2 performances will be at 2:00 pm School day matinees are 10:00 am on April 22, 23, 29, 30. Parking for the PAC is most convenient in lot #2.

The musical adaptation of Judith Viorst's beloved children's book centers on one miserable (but entertaining) day in the life of young Alexander who is so dismayed at waking up with gum in his hair, losing his yo-yo and having to wear railroad train pajamas that he wants to move to Australia. As bad days go, it's tough to top Alexander's. Audiences can sing along with Alexander's misadventures as they, along with Alexander, discover that sometimes everyone has a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

Chris Tomaino will direct the Brookdale staging. Musical direction will be by Keith Heimann. The local cast features Christina Guerra (Eatontown) as Mother, Ashley Schinaldi (Manapalan) in Ensemble #3, Joe Riggio (Matawan) as Alexander, Jennifer Fournier (Middletown) as Ensemble #2, Sal Giacchi (Monmouth Beach) as Father and Daniella Macolino (Tinton Falls) as Ensemble #1.

Tickets are $10 general admission, $5 for Brookdale students with a valid ID (limit of two). For more information or to purchase tickets, call the box office at 732-224-2411.
