Holmdel - Two subjects were arrested at the Holmdel Motor Inn after police investigated the two subjects as suspicious persons. Tyrone Larocca, 45 years old from Atlantic Highlands and Diane Baxter, 39 years old, from Belford were arrested in the Holmdel Motor Inn parking lot. At about 12:04 am Saturday morning, Sgt. Shawn Bailey observed Baxter and Larocca acting suspicious outside one of the rooms at the motel. While Sgt Bailey was speaking with them, Larocca took off running threw the parking lot and behind a restaurant located on the property. Baxter also ran on foot in the opposite direction. After a brief foot chase and struggle Larocca was arrested. Larocca attempted to discard crack cocaine while being chased by Sgt Bailey. The crack cocaine was found a few feet away from Larocca after his arrest according to a press release.
Baxter was located and arrested a short time later behind the Motor Inn by Ptl. Michael Hughes. Reportedly Larocca was found to have an active warrant in Monmouth County for $30,000 and Holmdel arrant for $2,500. Baxter was found to have an active warrant in Neptune, Lake Como and Holmdel for a total of $2,687. Baxter was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of bail. Larocca was transported to Bayshore Hospital and turned over to the Monmouth County Sheriff's office. Ptl Allen, and Ptl Menosky assisted Sgt Bailey and Ptl Hughes at the scene.
