The Atlantic Highlands Arts Council maintains their tradition of showcasing the very best musicians of the bayshore area at the "Fifth Annual Sounds of the Highlands Concert." This year, Sounds of the Highlands presents the classical Corialis Chamber Trio, followed by the Dan Wilensky Jazz Quartet.
The Corialis Chamber Trio; Wayne Arndt, (cello), Joel DeWitt, (violin) and Laura DuBois, (piano), will open the concert with an exciting selection of duo and trio compositions for violin, piano, and cello by Brahms, Gliere, Gershwin, Handel-Halverson, and others.
After the intermission, hear the Dan Wilensky Quartet's soulful jazz, bossa, and blues. This world-class group features Bob Himmelberger, piano, Steve Varner, bass, Mike Heady, Drums, and Dan Wilensky, sax, four musicians with resumes that read like a who's who of American music.
Be a part of this great night for music in historic Atlantic Highlands on Saturday, May 22, 7:30 pm. The concert will be held in the beautiful restored Central Baptist Church, 3rd and E. Highland Ave., with its fine acoustics and magnificent stained glass windows.
Tickets are only $15 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, and can be purchased at the Flaky Tart or through Paypal at Atlantic Highlands Arts Council.
