Red Bank (Monmouth County, NJ) - Having recently attained "On the Radar" status from the National Republican Congressional Committee, Diane Gooch, the Monmouth County Republican Vice Chair and local businesswoman, has crossed the threshold of 1000 viewers on her Youtube spot and is now past 1400.
In a month that has seen the Cook Report move its needle for the 6th Congressional District, Gooch has garnered a great deal of interest as she collects endorsements across the district. Momentum continues to build for Gooch as she heads towards November in a bid to unseat 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone. Gooch has used the strength of her candidacy to broadcast her message of less government, and fiscal responsibility to the electorate.
"I am inspired by the interest that we are receiving," said Gooch. "I have had the pleasure of meeting with small business owners, elected officials, and enthusiastic supporters since the inception of my campaign. My website, Youtube and Facebook, as well as aggressive grassroots campaigning, are examples of the diverse approach that my campaign is taking to reach as many voters a possible. I will continue to work hard every day to earn support so that I can put an end to Frank Pallone's tax-and-spend politics."
The Kaiser Family Foundation slammed Frank Pallone in its most recent Kaiser Health News. Reportedly the respected newsletter is puzzled by Pallone's refusal to support an initiative that has attracted broad support.
According to a press release, the newsletter reports, "Proposals to make the price of health care services and products more transparent to consumers have attracted bipartisan support on a House panel, but the subcommittee's chairman, Rep. Frank Pallone, D-N.J., would not say whether he would allow such legislation to move forward."
"I find it outrageous that after burdening us all with massive spending and a government overhaul of healthcare, Frank Pallone would now turn his back on a bipartisan effort to improve transparency to consumers," remarked Diane Gooch, Monmouth County Republican Vice Chair and local small business owner. "Frank Pallone is not advocating for consumers, he's focused on government control of our healthcare that excludes patients from being informed of their choices."
The 6th Congressional district includes parts of Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset and Union counties.
