Highlands - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth County (BBBSMC) will team up with Highlands Business Partnership (HBP) in June to support BBBSMC and their mentoring programs for at-risk children in Monmouth County.
Every Tuesday during the month of June, several Highlands restaurants will donate a generous portion of their sales to BBBSMC including Bahr's Landing, Chilango's Mexican, Doris & Ed's, Inlet Café, Off the Hook, Windansea and Moby's. The proceeds will be used to directly fund the agency's mentoring programs for children in the community who are facing emotional, social and academic challenges.
"We're thrilled to be cooperating with BBBSMC to raise needed funds and awareness of their awesome programs," stated Jay Cosgrove, Vice President of HBP and owner of Bahr's Landing. We hope people will visit Highlands and its great restaurants especially now that summer is here and the new bridge is completed. They will have a great meal and benefit kids who need a positive role model at the same time."
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth County is a private, non-profit 501C3 organization. We do not charge a fee to the children or parents for our services. A volunteer Board of Trustees provides effective governance and support to the organization. Our revenue is generated through private donations, grants, planned gifts and special events.
OUR MISSION: is to make a positive difference in the lives of children who are facing emotional, social and academic challenges. Through professionally supported relationships with a caring adult, BBBSMC assists the children in achieving their highest potential, as they grow to become confident, competent and caring individuals.
