Eatontown - The Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski, II Memorial Fund, whose mission is to continue to serve and assist returning men and women who were wounded in service to our nation, is proud to announce a baseball/picnic outing at the BlueClaws Ballpark in Lakewood, New Jersey on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 -6:30pm in celebration of Military Appreciation Day.
The Memorial Fund, which was founded in 2006, has been supported in past years solely by the "Run with Dennis" event which is held at the PNC Bank Arts Center each November (this year on the 7th).
"We're glad to take everyone's support and add additional fundraising events in 2010," said Dennis Zilinski Sr. "As more men and women return from Iraq and Afghanistan, our work continues to grow in its importance. We have had some excellent support in the past and look forward to seeing people from the area come out and enjoy a great day of baseball while supporting our troops."
Tickets for the event can be purchased at www.runwithdennis.org and include a picnic on the first base line. Tickets cost $30 per adult; $20 per child (under 7 free), and include game admission, hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks and sides.

About the Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski II Memorial Fund: The Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski, II Memorial was created and founded in 2006 in order to honor Lt. Zilinski's memory and spirit for life. The first Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski Memorial Run/Walk was held in November of 2006. All proceeds of the run/walk sponsor programs for injured soldiers and to fund scholarships to Lt. Zilinski's alma mater, Christian Brothers Academy. The Fund provides support to improve the morale and welfare of members of the United States Armed Forces and their families. Additionally, by providing scholarships, the Fund invests in the future of high school students who embody the leadership qualities and community spirit of Lt. Zilinski.
