Lincroft - Finding yourself at a career crossroad? Today's economy has led many to this unexpected intersection.
Join Beverly Baskin, a Master Career Counselor, at an informal Information Session and learn the three practical steps to take to find the best personal career options. The free event will be held Thursday evening, June 10 from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm in the ATEC building, room 218 at the Brookdale Community College Lincroft main campus, 765 Newman Springs Road.
Representatives from Brookdale's Career Training Programs will be on hand to discuss short-term career training programs that can meet the needs of professionals and others seeking new career options. The broad range of programs includes businesses-related industry career training certificate programs, computer training, community interpreting, "green" jobs, nonprofit management and healthcare.
"It is critical for anyone considering a career change or job skill upgrade to research all available options. By obtaining information about the necessary skills and training for various jobs and assessing one's interests and abilities, an individual is much more likely to find a personally rewarding career," says Dominic Latorraca, Director-Career Training, Outreach Business & Community Development, Brookdale Community College.
