The Raritan High School girls varsity track and field team, Hazlet, rounded out a season of relay championships last weekend at the Monmouth County Relay Championships.
The lady Rockets won the meet with 91 points and were followed by Manasquan High School, who earned 79 points.
The team took first place in the 3-by-400-intermediate-hurdle relay with a time of 3 minutes, 32.8 seconds. Kaylee Bythell, Hadeer Hanafy and Lauren Starek won the race against the Manasquan relay team.
The Rockets also took several second and third places on the track that contributed to the successful day.

The Raritan relay team battled the Neptune High School relay team during the shuttle hurdles, which is a 4x100 hurdle event. Amanda Evans, Hanafy, Starek and Val Carney finished the race in 1:10.9, just two seconds behind Neptune, for second place.
After a rough start during the 4x100, Raritan picked up the pace to achieve third place. Fran Maglione, Nicole Dougherty, Michelle Aurigemma and Lauren Thomson ran the 56.1-second race.
It was Raritan’s strong field victories that solidified its championship win.
