OAKHURST – More than 400 supporters participated in “A Celebration of Hope” fund raiser sponsored by Women Against MS at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale, which raised funds for the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
CBS news anchor Chris Wragge served as emcee of the event, which featured an auction of fine art and antiques, including “A Portrait of a Woman with Roses in Her Hair” – circa 1860 – by French-American artist Louis Matheiu.
“Multiple Sclerosis impacts thousands of people who live right here in our area,” said chair Tindra Lanfrank. “I enjoy helping others and even though personally I do not have any ties with MS, I have a personal tie to my community. That’s why I keep coming back to do this every year. I can see it’s truly making a difference.”
