Will Obama's recession become a 1930s depression? Gordon Bishop Posted:12/08/08

With all of these ‘bailouts’ and bankruptcies throwing millions of people out of work, is America about to plunge into another Great Depression like the 1930s?
General Motors, CitiGroup, AIG and thousands of small, medium and big size businesses are begging the federal government to bail them out.
The bailouts could cost taxpayers 2 or 3 trillion dollars, or more.
Wall Street doesn’t know where the economic bottom is. All they know is that the federal government is becoming a partner in the largest businesses in America. That means you and I and the all the rest of taxpayers are subsidizing our once great free enterprise system.
It’s almost like our centralized government is nationalizing the private sector. Isn’t that Marxism, otherwise known as Communism?
I just happen to be a Depression born baby – January 1, 1938. So is my wife Jeanne: July 4, 1939. Of course we were both too young to know what was going on, other than the fact both our families had jobs and could pay the rent or the mortgage, and drive a family-owned sedan with a full tank of gas.
We were not on the bread line or selling apples for a nickel to stay alive.
What saved America and got us out of the deep Depression was an idiot named Hitler. World War II was ignited when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941. Hitler moved his armies into Poland and other European countries just prior to the loss of Pearl Harbor.
During World War II, my parents installed black shades so the Germans airplanes could not see lights where people lived or worked.
The next attack on America was by Muslim terrorists who took out the World Trade Center’s soaring Twin Towers, and 1/5th of the Pentagon, our national military headquarters, on September 11, 2001.
George W. Bush had been sworn in as President in May 2001 when he was confronted with the multi-trillion-dollar loss of America’s Wall Street financial icon: The symbol of America’s freedom and financial power.
Somehow, Bush managed to keep America safe from another attack by the radical Islamic killers since 9/11.
For that, Bush will certainly go down in history as the leader of the first “Global War on Terror.”
It ain’t (yes, “ain’t) easy being the leader of both America and the free world. Bush’s hair turned from black to silver white as he leaves office June 20.
Will a U.S. Senator from Chicago, Obama Hussein Obama, with less than a term as a U.S. Senator, be ready to replace a Republican President? He and his Chicago gang admit they don’t have the experience of a George W. Bush, who is constantly bashed, trashed and smeared by the Far Left liberals in the Democrat Party.
It’s unadulterated HATE!
As the “Great One” Ronald Reagan said, “I didn’t leave the Democrat Party, the Democrat Party left me.”
Now that the Democrat Party has been hi-jacked by Obama’s Far Left ACORN organization, some 40-plus lawsuits have been filed against both ACORN and the Obama campaign for allowing scores of thousands of illegal citizens to vote on November 4th – a “Day of Infamy,” as President Franklin Delano Roosevelt might call it.
Bad enough that FDR, a liberal Democrat, gave America the “New Deal,” the first socialist program allowing the federal government to take care of all Americans – both legal and illegal – from the cradle-to-the-grave.
You’re a little late Obama. America already is a socialist society. Except it’s going to be worse under your regime than FDR’s.
Obama, you’re a genuine Marxist. Karl Marx gave the world “Redistribution of Wealth,” which wipes out Capitalism, the economic engine of the free world. Marx wanted a godless, classless, “Share the Wealth” Marxist-Communist society.
America already is a giant “Welfare State.” That’s why I fear an all-out Depression is inevitable.
God Bless America!
